BIO

JOSH BEN-AMI is a musical theater/pop songwriter living in Manhattan. His debut album, Pivot, was released in 2023, and his newest EP was released on October 10, 2024. His songs for It’s Christmas, Witch won the 48 Hour Film Project Award for Best Music. Josh composed the score for musicals Maya’s Mother and #Masc4Masc: A Totally Masculine Musical, with book and lyrics by James Martinez Salem. His work has been performed at Feinstein’s/54 Below, Dixon Place and The Duplex, and he is a Marvin Hamlisch International Music Award nominee. He is a graduate of the Gallatin school at New York University, and received an MFA from the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program at Tisch School of the Arts in 2020. Proud member of ASCAP. He is currently working on another full album and a conceptual musical theater album.
